KlausPicks uses Supabase for authentication. When you sign in, Supabase sets session cookies on your browser to keep you authenticated across pages and browser sessions.

Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our website — which pages are most visited, how users navigate the platform, and where traffic comes from. This helps us improve the product.

We use Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager. These services are operated by Google LLC (USA). Data is transferred to the United States under Standard Contractual Clauses and Google's EU-US Data Privacy Framework certification.

Analytics cookies are only activated after you consent via our cookie consent banner. If you decline, no Google Analytics cookies are set.

IP anonymisation is enabled for all Google Analytics tracking on KlausPicks. This means your full IP address is never stored by Google on our behalf.

You can also opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

In addition to cookies, we use browser local storage for functional purposes that enhance your experience without requiring an account.

Certain pages on KlausPicks may embed content from third-party services. These services may set their own cookies over which we have no direct control:

• Buy Me a Coffee — if you click the donation button, you will be directed to buymeacoffee.com, which may set its own cookies on its site in accordance with their own cookies policy.
• Google Fonts — if used on any page, Google may log the request for font files. We use locally hosted fonts where possible to avoid this.

We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting cookies, or social media tracking cookies. No Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or similar advertising network cookies are loaded on KlausPicks.

Local Storage

Local storage (used for the reindeer name and consent record) is not deleted when you clear cookies in most browsers. To clear local storage, use your browser's developer tools (Application → Local Storage → klauspicks.com → Clear), or use your browser's "Clear browsing data" option with "Site data" checked.
